The rising star with his Yamaha keytar

a rising star

A compilation of tracks from 2015-2023 that have a special place in my heart. Some songs were published before and some are new releases. I took another, slightly longer, TGV trip and created a space team with my family. But best of all and by popular demand, you can now enjoy Ferkelfleisch on your favourite platform!

Eugene van Grinsven sleeping in bed

a dying star

Time is running out. I feel my body is dying. What if I had been more focused on my music throughout the years? Would it be better? Could I have been a star?

THE SEA

I went to the sea and made a song for you to see.

Courage

Ready. Start. Range. Young. Together. Haste. Sweat. Laughter. Danger. Courage. Time.

Bienvenue à bord

First time journey with a high speed train and you might say I was pretty enthousiastic about it. Depart. GO!

Snow Rider

Steer your sled through mountainous terrain while trying to avoid obstacles. Get bonus time by making big jumps and beat the high score.

Prometheus

Lord Byron's Prometheus poem, spoken word by Fiona. The video is a collage of walks during covid.

Ferkelfleisch

Markus wants to buy "Ferkelfleisch" but Anna doesn't have any.

Placeholder

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet. A musical placeholder created with Nodebeat.

Overflow Camp I Na

Sunday's walk into Kampina nature reserve was the inspiration for this partly generative piece.

Trial by tunnelwash

A car wash makes interesting noises. Instead of sampling, recreating the noises with synthesizers is obviously the way to go. The music wasn't suppose to happen.

About Eugenre

A lifelong on/off hobby journey with music, photography and digital media. Born mid-seventies, formed mid-eighties. OMD, Kraftwerk, Joy Division/New Order have been major influencers. Music production started on the Commodore 64, evolving into the classic trackers on the Commodore Amiga and midi sequencing.
FFWD 30 years and still loving my Elektron Sidstation and Korg MS2000 as main sources for inspiration but also embracing all software miracles modern times have brought. Big fan of speech synthesis. Currently working on an a few pop songs, but cancer got me. Time is running out. Never had desires to become rich and famous, the joy is in the process of creation.
Would be nice though, if other people like it too.
